FIELD WORK
BUILT ENVIRONMENTS THAT PERFORM
Fabricated systems for museums, retail, and public spaces for daily use.
METHODOLOGY
Field operations at DCLA FAB transform specialized architectural assemblies into permanent spatial realities under rigorous conditions. Executing structural installations outside a controlled shop environment requires a proactive field methodology capable of adapting to active construction ecosystems, variable site layouts, and strict logistical limitations. Our mobile teams coordinate directly with prime contractors, mechanical teams, and engineering consultants to ensure that components integrate smoothly with onsite structural baselines.
We treat the physical field environment as a complex extension of our manufacturing floor rather than a separate installation task. By deploying experienced fabrication technicians directly to the point of installation, we maintain complete control over alignment tolerances, joining sequences, and mechanical connections. This focused deployment strategy guarantees that highly customized metal works and architectural components preserve their structural integrity, aesthetic weight, and precision layout during final positioning.
PROCESS & CONTROL
Onsite execution operates under a continuous quality validation protocol to eliminate errors, manage installation stress, and confirm final dimensional placement. Before anchoring components, our teams execute precise site level surveys, verify structural mounting points, and thoroughly inspect load bearing interfaces against master design layouts. Every connection detail, field weld, and mechanical fastener is applied to satisfy strict architectural tolerances and code regulations.
All field assembly data, torque specifications, and positional checks are carefully recorded to maintain a complete history of the structure. Minor field variations are quickly identified, systematically evaluated by engineering specialists, and corrected with specialized equipment to avoid structural deflection or interface mismatching. This rigorous field quality oversight layer ensures that completed spatial installations deliver optimal structural reliability, absolute physical safety, and long term performance durability.
“Built from real materials. Engineered for real environments.”
BUILT PROJECTS IN ACTIVE USE
Built for real use, not concept, every system is designed for load, traffic, and time. Nothing is added without purpose, every element carries function. Every system is built with real constraints in mind, load, access, durability, and maintenance. Materials are selected for performance, not appearance. Assembly, installation, and long term use are resolved before fabrication begins. Each system is measured against use before it is built.
